This is such a great series! I really like how you're putting it forward: clear, concise and honest. I love your stories, and the photos of Toto. They're wonderful articles, Jean. P.S. And I loved your little note to your hubby at the very end. So, so sweet!! 🍯
Hi Jean this is such a big topic... Belonging... I like how you have explored the absence of self in the work place...and then reclaiming self. I've had many moments of keeping it all in, fear of being judged, or looking dumb. Thank you for sharing these insights. Hope you enjoyed a romantic Valentine's Day with you hubby 💝
Thank you so much for your warm words, Katerina. Such a huge topic, right? I feel you and I know it’s not easy. For me, focusing on what’s true within me makes things slightly easier and made me overcome my sadness of letting go better too.
If you don’t belong to yourself, you will always feel like a fraud in someone else’s company. WOW such powerful words.
Where you write about speaking truth instead of saying the palatable thing, that's being your authentic self. That will always attract you he right people and repel the wrong ones.
Networking events are exhausting.
I can absorb them for a short period of time and I leave.
A three day event is like a life time.
I will go for half a day and then get outside or go do something else.
I used to feel like I had to stay for the whole event since most of them I paid to attend.
Nope - when I am full. I leave.
Excellent stating of what works for you and boy oh boy (as an expression or saying. Not attached to gender etc”
Partying hard right now, but I’ll be back with something more thoughtful
I played the trumpet! Mildly jealous of th saxophone players lol
This was actually beautiful
Thank you William! Trumpet players are phenomenal and most do the time they get the main melodies! I get jealous too!

I like that...Focusing on what's true feels right... More control over reclaiming self.
